The Vision of One is an organization that produces educational and charitable events.
Our goal is to help others by creating events that will provide knowledge on any issue that affects a community, be it small or large. We aim to touch people in such a way that after seeing one of our programs they will walk out of the room and do something different in their life.
We are focused on promoting a vision of unity across all cultures and on raising awareness regarding critical global issues such as poverty and hunger.
Mission
|
The mission of the Vision of One is to bring awareness to the concept of ONE: how any ONE person with any ONE action, in any ONE moment, can make a difference in their life and in the lives of others. The concept of ONE includes the awareness that all beings are sharing this ONE world. We live amongst people who are just like us – sharing in the same dreams and desires to have freedom, love, joy, peace and prosperity in our lives. We share this common ground with everyone - our backgrounds are irrelevant. |

All people from all cultures and religions can live side by side, harmoniously, in an environment that cultivates tolerance and peace. The only change the world needs is for each and every ONE person in it to recognize and acknowledge that this world is ONE giant community of like beings and to make the choice, every day, to take actions that help others and that promote peace and tolerance.

Long Beach Safe Swimming Docudrama September 2010 Vision of One, in partnership with David Feldman of eFace Media and the City of Long Beach, NY, has produced a docudrama that addresses the need to educate people as to the dangers of swimming in unprotected ocean waters. The beautiful beaches of Long Beach, NY, which is Liz Byrne’s home town, attract visitors from all across the tri-state area. Unfortunately some of these visitors do not understand the rules of the beach and they choose to go swimming in the ocean when the park is not officially open and therefore there are not any lifeguards on duty. This decision has often been followed by the tragic consequence of someone drowning. Most often this is a young adult or teen visiting from one the boroughs of Manhattan. In response to this recurring situation we have created this educational video that dramatizes a day when some young people decide to visit the beach when it is closed and further decide to go into the water to swim. After a child disappears, the lifeguards and local authorities attempt to recover the body as detectives must now go and inform the parents that their child is missing. The video will be distributed as a Public Service Announcement in all 5 boroughs of Manhattan via public transportation messages, public access television and through the school system. As Charles Theofan, Long Beach City Manager so aptly put it “If it only saves one life, it will have been well worth it.” |
